When I first read act one scene two, I did not understand most of the words they said. However, when Mrs Woo went through the original text with the class, I could understand the text a bit better. Some words or phrases in the original text were not what they seemed. For example, "two spent swimmers" is used to talk about war not swimmers. In my opinion, this phrases are the words that makes the text difficult.
When me and my fellow classmates were divided into thirteen different groups for our skit on act one scene one, I was feeling very nervous that I would mess up the play and ruin my groups performance. When I got to know my group members, I was relieved that one of my friends was in the same group as me. Mrs Woo said that our performance would be after the term one holiday which gives us plenty of time to study and memorize the text.
In groups of four, Mrs Woo asked us to share the sentences that we were suppose to come up with. We agreed that our sentences were good and that we would not change it. When Mrs Woo said that the comic strips had to be handed in next week, I was shocked. My drawing was really terrible and I was really worried that I would fail. I decided then not to worry as if I put an effort into my work, Mrs Woo would certainly see that I had put in effort into my work as she is a kind and understanding teacher. I was really eager to see some of my friends work as some of them are really good in drawing. In conclusion, I think that this lesson is very fun and interesting and I would really love it if we could do this kind if group work again.

Learning Log 2
In my opinion, witches should have a high pitched voice just like when our literature teacher tried to mimic the sound of a witch. However, when our literature teacher asked some of our classmates to try and speak like a witch, they did not all speak in high pitch voices. Some of the males speak in a very low pitch voice which was recommended by our literature teacher as she knows that some of us do not have high-pitched voices. As the days passed, our classmates became used to mimicking witches and they became more confident.
During our group discussion about superstitions, my friends had found a lot of superstitions that I have never heard of. Some of them found some really funny superstitions that i would have never thought of but I respected their believes as different culture has different believes. It was really fun doing this group activity and I hope that we will do more activities like this in the future.
When it was time to share our superstitions to the whole class, my group decided to choose one superstition from each of us. When the other groups presented their findings, we were surprised that some of their findings were the same as ours. Some of their superstitions were really long winded and some were really short. Unfortunately, we did not have time to finish the presentation so we did not present our superstitions to the class.

Learning Log 1
For the past few lessons, I have learned about cinquains. The word cinquain is derived from the French word cinq which means five. A cinquain is a five-line poem. The first sentence contains only one word which is the title. The second sentence has two words which describes the title. The third sentence contains three action words which has something to do with the title. The fourth sentence lets you express how you fell about he title in four words. The fifth and final sentence has only one word which is a reflection on the title.
Respect means to never look down on someone even if you are cleverer or more skillful then them.
Integrity means to tell the truth even though you know you will be punished if you do so.
Commitment means to be involved in your studies, cca or even your job even though they are exhausting.
Enterprise is to take part in activities in school or even in the community and give ideas during projects or group work
In my opinion, without respect, integrity, commitment and enterprise, there would be no Singapore today as without these four characteristics our founding fathers would not have made Singapore what it is today. The world would also be different as there would me no honesty and respect between each other.
I would suggest that we have some games during our lessons.
